Our founder & Head Instructor

Coach Louis-Philippe

Professor Louis-Philippe was introduced to the world of martial arts while serving in the Royal 22ᵉ Regiment of the Canadian Army from 2005 to 2009. In 2007, he was deployed to Afghanistan with the 3rd Battalion Airborne Regiment as part of Operation Athena, an experience that deeply shaped his discipline, mental resilience, and understanding of personal strength.

Upon returning to Canada, he transitioned into mixed martial arts (MMA), where he quickly established a solid competitive record: 6 wins and 1 loss as an amateur, followed by 1 win and 1 loss at the professional level. This phase of his journey strengthened his strategic mindset, technical base, and appreciation for the physical and mental demands of combat sports.
In 2010, driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of movement, technique, and personal development, Louis-Philippe began training under Professor Bruno Fernandes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu soon became a transformative discipline for him, offering new insights into body mechanics, patience, and human potential.

Less than a year into his training, he was offered the opportunity to begin teaching, allowing him to develop coaching skills early in his journey. He embraced the role with enthusiasm, learning the fundamentals of instruction and discovering a passion for helping others grow. His dedication and consistent effort were recognized in 2015, when he was awarded his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Professor Fernandes.
A disciplined self-learner, Louis-Philippe continues to refine his craft through daily training, advanced courses, seminars, and competition experience. His diverse background, which also includes teaching fitness and personal training, allows him to guide students of all levels with a well-rounded and structured approach.

His philosophy centers on balance between mind and body, strong fundamentals, and finding joy in the learning process. His goal is to help each student achieve their personal objectives while developing confidence, technical growth, and a deep appreciation for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
