Three Armbars, Gold and a Blue Belt at the Quebec Provincial Championship

Three victories, three armbars and a gold medal: what a day for Michelange Chouinard! On October 3, 2026, he competed at the SAU Quebec Provincial Jiu-Jitsu Championship at Centre Pierre-Charbonneau in Montreal. We shared his performance on Instagram with one more piece of news waiting on the podium.

Michelange won gold in the white belt, Master 1, -82.3 kg gi division. His quarterfinal, semifinal and final each ended in a submission victory. Three matches, the same finish: the armbar. Congratulations on a beautiful performance!

Then came the surprise from the post: Michelange was promoted to blue belt on the podium. The first photo shows the gold-medal podium; the second captures the new blue belt. A medal and a promotion made this a day to celebrate together.
