Welcome Coach Mani Roushanzamir

Great news for our academy: welcome, Mani Roushanzamir! On September 7, 2025, we announced that a World Master bronze medalist and judo black belt was joining our teaching team. Joined us September 7, 2025: a new chapter on the mats at Renzo Gracie Laval.

The announcement invited adults to his first class on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 7:15 PM. His bronze medal at the IBJJF World Master Championship 2025 was part of the news, and the announcement photo captures that moment with a medal and a welcome to our new coach.

Mani is a BJJ brown belt and a second-degree Kosen Judo black belt under Sensei Hiroshi Nakamura. He brings more than ten years of Kosen Judo to his teaching, including traditional judo takedowns, foot sweeps, turnovers, submissions and pinning. He leads our takedown class and is a head instructor at the academy.

He teaches adults today. Visit the current schedule for class times, meet our instructors, and explore adult BJJ. His competitor profile brings his competition record together. Watch the welcome video below, then book a free trial to join us on the mats.
